The museum focuses on the history of the Hejaz railway built during the reign of Abdul Hamid II. Several vehicles and engines from other regions and stations were collected on the railroad and one of the engines was restored, The museum also contains pottery utensils, coffee tools, a collection of banknotes, weapons and a collection of ancient photographs of Medina that date back to the year 1880 AD, The museum is also used to hold some cultural festivals.

Al-Ghamamah Mosque (Al-Musalla) is at the site where the Prophet Mohammad peace be upon him prayed Eid in Medina. This place was the last place where the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, prayed the Eid prayer in 631 AD, as he Messenger prayed for the absent prayer for the Negus. Currently, there is no prayer in which he is close to the Holy Mosque of the Prophet. It is one of the ancient and historical mosques in Medina.
